Date:2023-3-01 13:59

In February 2023, FITSCO won the bid for the general contract signaling system procurement project of Lines 4, 5 and 6 in Monterrey, Mexico. This is a strong step for FITSCO to implement the "going out" and "internationalization" strategy of China Railway Electrification Bureau Group and another milestone in exploring the global urban rail transit market.

The Monterrey Lines 4, 5 and 6 EPC project is a key project of the Mexican federal government and the largest rail transit project in Mexico in 2022. The project covers the design, construction and commissioning of the lines, which has great strategic significance for improving the urban transportation of Monterrey.

The Monterrey Light rail project is 36 kilometers long, with a total of 29 stations, and is planned to be opened in three stages. FITSCO will provide the JeRail®CBTC signaling system solution for the project, enabling Fully automated (FAO) GoA4 level operations.

Monterrey is one of the 2026 World Cup venues and the third largest city in Mexico. With a population of 4.1 million, it is the capital of Nuevo Leon State in northeastern Mexico and has the nickname "Capital of the North". As an internationally important industrial and commercial center, many important international enterprises are located here. Once completed, the project will become an important means of transportation for the city of Monterrey, effectively easing the daily traffic pressure, and will also contribute to the 2026 World Cup, providing a more comfortable and efficient way to travel.
